The Responsible Dog Owner Course - Connect With Your Canine

£200.00

‘Connect With Your Canine’ is a specially crafted course here to give you the latest insights on how dogs think and behave, with a fresh perspective on topics like dominance, obedience and social structure. This course will totally change the way you look at, live with and (most importantly) communicate with your dog!

As a professional Canine Behaviourist, this course has been personally crafted to be the perfect resource if you’ve always wanted to understand your dog on a deeper level, but aren’t sure where to start. This course covers the essentials of training techniques and dives deep into the fascinating world of dog behaviour - especially how dogs communicate with each other and humans. You’ll dig into debates on topics like pack structure, the role of authority, and the latest scientific research.

This doesn’t just teach you one way to think about or train dogs. It challenges everything you thought you knew and invites you to explore the cutting-edge work of experts in this field. It’s all about giving you the tools to form your own opinions based on research and real-world experience!

But that’s not all - this course also covers the practical side of owing a dog. You’ll learn how to prepare for a new puppy, assess your dog’s behaviour, understand the root cause of everyday issues and more. Most importantly it helps you communicate with your dog, break down the inter-species language barriers and handle real-life situations.

By the time you finish, you’ll:

  • Understand the difference between how dogs learn vs. how they behave.

  • Have a deep understanding of both dog training and psychology.

  • Be up to date with the latest studies and debates, and learn to form your own opinions on dog behaviour.

  • Comprehend how things like socialisation, communication, and evolution shape a dog’s life.

  • Understand how an owner’s mood and personality affects their dog.

  • Be able to recognise a dog’s body language, gestures, and signals.

  • Diagnose common behavioural problems and come up with creative solutions using what you’ve learned.

  • Know exactly what’s needed for a dog to be happy, healthy, and mentally balanced - and how to be an awesome dog owner.

  • Have a basic understanding of the legalities of owning a dog.

  • Put effective solutions into action with both dogs and other dog owners.

This isn’t just a course - it’s your first step towards helping your dog (and you as their owner) live your best lives together!

  • This course is for anyone wanting a deeper understanding of dogs and canines, even if you don’t own one! It can be completed in your own time and studied at your own pace - it doesn’t lead to a formal certification, so the pressures of strict deadlines and due-dates is non-existent.

  • This really depends upon how much time you can dedicate to your studies! I highly recommend that you fully digest and understand the module content before submitting your answer document. I encourage you to do your own additional reading and research alongside what you are learning too. Each unit comes with a quiz at the end, which should be completed and returned to to me by email. You should allow between roughly one and two hours to complete each module.

Please note that modules are not sent out to you all at once. In order to progress to the following module, an answer sheet for the current module quiz must be submitted (either as a Google Docs or Microsoft Word document) via email. Modules are supplied one at a time for a number of reasons, not least of all to ensure you do not pass a point in the course that you do not understand. Please allow 3-5 working days from quiz answer submission to receipt of the next module. You have a period of two years from the date of enrolment within which to complete the course. If upon expiry of the initial two years, you choose not to extend by an extra year, you are not entitled to the units not received, regardless of payments made - this course is non-refundable.
